Web Developer - PHP 5 - Object Oriented

Posted 21/04/2008

If you're a talented Web Developer looking to work on exciting projects with a range of clients, for a dynamic web development agency in Preston, then there may be a place for you at Solution Perspective Media. We specialise in enterprise level web applications.

We are currently recruiting for an enthusiastic, conscientious all-round web developer (expert-level PHP specialist) - a wizz with object-oriented PHP. If you have a measure of PHP Guru in you, then we're interested - you will be thoroughly tested! We need someone who can also take a design and turn it into a W3C standards-compliant and accessible website. Good knowledge of XHTML, CSS, AJAX and JavaScript is a must. Experience of frameworks for both PHP and JavaScript are a welcome bonus.

See the full job description below.

Just to clarify, this is not a design position, although having a good eye for design is always a plus.

Please send your CV and some recent examples of your work (these do not have to be commercial projects - they just need to be good) to me at info at solutionperspective.co.uk, and we'll take it from there. Make sure you also send a narrative explaining which bits you were responsible for. Send also a covering letter or e-mail setting out why you'd be good for the job, details of current and expected remuneration and what technologies and challenges interest you.

You will need to provide 2 references, one of which should be your most recent employer or freelance client - these will not be contacted unless you are successful in your application.

Salary is negotiable depending upon experience.

No recruitment agencies please. No really - I mean it.
